Matthew J. Ayers received his Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in 2019 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2020. While in law school, he interned at the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office, as well as the New York City Law Department Family Court Division. Upon graduation, he was hired as an Assistant District Attorney at the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office. During his time with the District Attorney’s Office, he prosecuted hundreds of cases spanning various crimes including DWI, Assault, Larceny, as well as various Domestic Violence offenses. As an ADA in Richmond County, he further developed his litigation skills through numerous bail applications, arraignment proceedings, and calendar calls before the court. Mr. Ayers now uses his litigation experience to represent plaintiffs in personal injury actions.
